I ordered the Window Charmander as a gift. Shipping was fast and it was wrapped and packaged really well. The piece is beautiful, but I'm pretty disappointed by the numerous gouges in it that appear to be from a knife. See Photos. Packaging was completely intact and undamaged, so this damage definitely occurred pre-shipment. For the cost, I would have expected a little better quality control.
Hi Kiersten! We’re so sorry the item arrived to you damaged. We can assure you with 100 percent certainty that the item was absolutely not gouged or damaged in any way prior to packaging nor was it overlooked and sent out in that condition. Thank you for posting pictures as it identified where the problem lies. Vapor smoothing is not a consistent science and unfortunately those marks are fractures from rapid environmental changes during cross country travel. We have tested curing and drying times to eliminate any defects that may present itself during the entire vapor smoothing process and have not experienced any of these stress cracks until now. Our local clients have not reported any cracking to their vapor smoothed models but their models had a consistent environment so we believe the cracks occurred during long distance shipping from the PNW to you which can cause a couple different problems that we can totally fix to avoid this from happening again thanks to your input. Please allow us the opportunity to remake this for you and we can send it out as soon as the process allows us to. We can send you a prepaid return shipping label for the damaged item if you could please tape him back up in his original box and send him back to us please so we can further eliminate any issues with the model. You can also reach us via email to discuss all options but again please allow us the opportunity to make it right for you so we can give you the Charmander that we want you to be proud to have.
